The Diamond Registry’s Policy On "Conflict
Diamonds" Feb.2003
As members of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses we subscribe
to the Kimberley Process adopted by all diamond exporting countries. We
require that all rough diamonds purchased by us are in compliance with
United Nations resolutions and come with the following statement.
"The diamonds herein invoiced have been purchased from legitimate
sources not involved in the funding of conflict and in compliance with United
Nations resolutions. The seller hereby guarantees that these diamonds are
conflict free, based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by
the supplier of these diamonds."
